Eligibility: Any individual with a bachelor's degree is eligible for enrollment in this course. This course will be helpful for teachers, teacher educators, student teachers, and freelance workers in the field of education.
Process of Enrollment: Candidates will be enrolled to this course on first cum first basis. A total 50 number of candidates will be enrolled in one cycle.
Introduction: The course on “Development of e-content” offers a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical and practical components of developing e-content. It equips the learners with essential knowledge and skills to design different types of e-content. It will help learners understand the basic concept of e-content, including how it enhances learning by making it more interactive, engaging, and accessible anytime and anywhere. Participants will explore various forms of e-content such as text, audio, video, multimedia, interactive, and immersive formats, enabling them to select and design content that best suits diverse learning needs. In addition, the course explores into the design and production aspects of e-content, ensuring participants gain hands-on experience in crafting engaging and pedagogically sound educational resources.
Course Objectives: The students shall be able to;
- Develop understanding of basic concepts of e-content, including its meaning, importance, and advantages.
- Identify and apply the key features of effective e-content while demonstrating proficiency in selecting appropriate content formats.
- Develop practical skills in program briefing, script writing, content production, and quality assessment to create engaging, pedagogically sound digital learning materials.
- Design and produce effective digital educational content through systematic development processes.

Assessment: This course will follow a five-point grading system (A-excellent, B-very good, C-good, D-satisfactory, E-needs improvement) both for assignments/projects and quizzes. The assessment will be based on the quality of the projects/assignments (50% weightage) and term-end online testing (50% weightage). The online testing will consist of 30 multiple-choice questions with four options. Certificate will be issued to candidates securing at least D grade.
